Tūranganui-a-Kiwa is the place where your child will spend their last two years at Primary School. The name of the syndicate, translating to “Sky”, gives children the opportunity to take their learning to new heights and soar as they begin to make the transition to their intermediate years. In Tūranganui-a-Kiwa a lot of emphasis is placed on independence in learning and self management. Our learners are encouraged to lead their learning, with the support of their teacher and classmates. Our learners are given a wide range of opportunities to grow their confidence and leadership skills, such as; wardens and dirences (road patrol), leading school assemblies, library monitors, and a whole lot more! There are a wide range of EOTC activities in Tūranganui-a-Kiwa, with camps to Tolaga Bay and Lake Waikaremoana bi-annually.
